PURR LIKE A KITTEN - POUNCE LIKE A TIGER
by Robin Munro
Wild T is back to mesmerize the City of Barrie one more time. He can purr like a kitten - pounce like a tiger. He's outrageous, outlandish, outsatanding...and he's ours!
At least for a concert Sun. June 14, on Father's Day. The winner of The Prix de Merit V Award, for his classic rendition of the Jimi Hendrix concert experience, removes his headband and shows us another side of himself that isn't necessarily any kinder or any gentler. |
| Wild T is the consummate guitar entertainer. he uses his instrument with all the skill and technique of a superb artist one minute, and with all the bravura and abandon of a gladiator the next.
The dualism in every Wild T concert is what makes this touring and recording artist so popular and is what generates so much excitemnet.
Wild T sings and solos his way through the pre-eminent compositions of the "Blues guitar hero" period from the last forty years. And maybe he'll treat us to his latest opus, dedicated to Lord Stanley's famous trophy, which has become the newest anthem of the National Hockey League.
Be prepared to be seduced and surpised as this concert will be a memory-making grand finale to The Great Canadian Guitar Players Concert Series and a fitting climax to a week filled with Festival and Festival-related activities. |
